Day 1 : Arrive in Aurangabad
Welcome to Aurangabad. Once you land, make your way to the religious town of Shirdi by road. The journey takes roughly 2.5 hours. As you reach, check-in to your hotel and settle in.
Start your trip by visiting the famous Sai Baba Temple. Pay obeisance to Sai Baba and feel sanctified as you offer your prayers. Spend some time in the temple complex. Get a closer look at the life of the revered saint by visiting the other temples, library and museum within the temple premises that are related to the life of Sai Baba.
After that, you can visit the Dwarkamai Masjid. This unadorned structure is one of the spiritual shelters from where Sai Baba is said to have given his spiritual teachings. The mosque is dedicated to the revered saint who spent most years of his lifetime here. You can see his oil paintings hanging on the walls. The first floor of the mosque features a palki and a chariot and it also has a big stone of Sai Baba which is presumed to be his sitting zone.
Later in the day, you can check out the Dixit Wada Museum. It was created by Kakasaheb Dixit in 1911. The museum exhibits some of the personal belongings of Sai Baba including his robes, pipe, cooking utensils, leather padukas and gramophone records. The museum allows the visitors to get a glimpse of the simple and pious life of Sai Baba.

Day 2 : Shirdi to Aurangabad
Start your day with an early breakfast and check-out of your hotel. Drive back to Aurangabad. Once you reach, check-in to your hotel and relax.
On Day 2 of your Shirdi Aurangabad tour package, start the day by visiting Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple. Located around 30 km. from Aurangabad, Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga Temples of Shiva in India. Known for its architectural brilliance, this is a must-see place to visit in Aurangabad. The entire monument is dominated by carved statues and intricately designed artworks and paintings. Inside the temple, you can see the Dashsavatars carved out in red stone. You can also see the stunning Nandikeshwara in the court-hall.
After that, you can proceed towards Ellora Caves. They are located just 2 km. away from Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the epitome of ancient Indian rock-cut architecture. Ellora Caves are a part of the Charanandri Hills and were laboriously carved over five centuries by Buddhists, Jain monks, and Hindus. The most famous among all the caves is the Kailashnatha Cave which is situated on the Kailash Hill. You can also see a dancing figure of Nataraja on the walls.
Later in the day, you can check out the Soneri Mahal. This palace is one of the top places to visit in Aurangabad, located at the foothill of the Aurangabad Caves in the Paharsingpura area. Soneri Mahal was built between 1651 and 1653 AD. The Mahal gets its name from the paintings in the palace that were once all made in gold. As soon as you enter the palace you are greeted by beautiful arches and exquisitely decorated interiors. The rich architecture makes this palace the ideal venue for the Aurangabad Festival which features many dance performances. A well-manicured garden enhances the beauty of this palace.

Day 3 : Aurangabad City Tour
Post a delicious breakfast, get ready to explore this beautiful city some more.
On Day 3 of your Shirdi Aurangabad travel package, begin your day by visiting Ajanta Caves. These 30 rock-cut Buddhist cave monuments were built between the 2nd century and 480 or 650 CE. The Ajanta Caves are listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list as it exhibits some of the finest ancient Indian art and paintings. These horseshoe-shaped caves border the Waghore River. Cave 1 has the portrait of Bodhisattva Padmanapi which is one of the most famous paintings of Ajanta. Most of the paintings showcase the life of Buddha in several incarnations. Ajanta caves should be a must in your Aurangabad itinerary.
After that, you can visit Bibi Ka Maqbara. This near-replica of Taj Mahal was built by Prince Azim Shah in the year 1678 to express his unparalleled love for his mother, Rabia-ul-Durani (Aurangzeb’s wife). The mausoleum is made of sandstone and is surrounded by well-kept gardens that add to the beauty of this marvel. The mausoleum features four minarets and red stones have been used on the tips of its pillars. As the sunlight falls on the pillars it makes up for a very breath-taking visual.
Later in the day, you can check out the Paithan. Paithan is known for its historical monuments and caves. It is located on the banks of Godavari River. Tourists come here to visit the attractions like Eknath Maharaj Temple, Paithani Kendra, Jayakwadi Bird Sanctuary and much more. The Paithani Kendra is famed for its Paithani silk sarees and tourists like to come here and shop. Jayakwadi Bird Sanctuary is a haven for bird lovers. You can also visit the Jnanyeshwar Vatika which is known for its puppet and musical fountain shows.
